The Panama Audubon Society meets at the The Metropolitian Natural Park in one of the meetings rooms available for groups. It is the perfect place to have gatherings for outdoor eduction. There is also a small museum, a shop and a library.
The Metropolitian Natural Park is located just 15 minutes from downtown Panama City. This park came into being in 1985. It is one of only a few urban parks located within a tropical city in the world. There are several government and private institutions involved with the management of The Metropolitian Natural Park - including the Smithsonian Institute. Hikers can walk the interpritive trail to the top of Cerro Mono Titi - the view here is spectacular offering a panoramic view of the city, the Port of Balboa, and the adjacent Las Cruces Trail National Park. The birding in Metropolitan Natural Park is excellent.
